Glass Replacement

We work on the policy of repair first. As long as the glass can be repaired then it should be repaired. It will not only save the customers money but also will contribute to greener environment.

Fix-A-Glass is able to replace any cracked glass with minimum turnaround time with guaranteed installation quality. We also understand the busy schedule of our customers, hence our mobile team with a complete equipment is ready to serve our customers when and where is convenient to them.

All our our glass installer had attended a complete course on glass glazing prior to handling customer’s precious vehicle. They had been trained on not only how to remove the windscreen properly without damaging the interior, but they also must understand the vehicle electronic component such as rain sensor.

Fix-A-Glass only uses quality sealant by Sika which is the world most renowned brand for sealant and the adhesion strength has been proven.

Glass Repair

Should your front windscreen been hit with an object and created a cracked or just a chip, the vehicle owner must get it repaired immediately or within 24 hours. It shall prevent from the cracked line to get longer and makes repair works for chipped glass more effectively.

Fix-A-Glass mechanic will first drill the hole at the end of the cracked line. Then a special glass resin will be pumped in to fill up the crack or chip area. The cracked will then be cured with UV light for 10 minutes. Upon completion Fix-A-Glass mechanic will polish the outer surface of the glass until it becomes smooth.

The result is the crack or the chip will disappear visually. The result of the repair will also depend on how long the crack happened until it is repaired.

The charges of the repair is depends on the length of the cracked and the type of chip.

Custom Made Glass

Fix-A-Glass is part of HBR Capital Group (HBR-Malaysian Safety Glass Sdn Bhd) and has been in the autoglass business for the past 19 years (since 1992). With our own manufacturing facilities, we definitely have a leading edge in meeting customer’s requirement in total, even if it needs to be custom made.

Fix-A-Glass thorough its sister company can produce a laminated glass to any specs required by customers. The customers can choose the thickness, colour and even combination of the glass. Fix-A-Glass just simply extracts the mould on the model or surface required by customers and go for production.

The quality of windscreen is as good as original equipment windscreen.

The windscreen can be ready within 7 working days after completion of mould.

Insurance Claims

Due to high cost in changing the windscreen and its risks of breakage, most of Malaysia insurance company has introduces windscreen insurance. With only 15% premium based on the sum insured, this surely will protect the insurer from forking out too much money to replace the windscreen.

Fix-A-Glass has established a relationship with most of Malaysia Insurance provider making it easy for car owner to make their claim to insurance company. Fix-A-Glass shall guide and assist the car owner in processing the claim of windscreen.

Should the windscreen on the insured vehicle is broken, just simply bring the car to any of Fix-A-Glass outlet with the following document:
>   Drivers identity card and license
>   Insurance policy cover
>   Vehicle registration card
>   A completed claim form

Fix-A-Glass staff will assist the customer to fill up all the forms. The claim will be done by Fix-A-Glass staff unless required by the customer to do on their own.

No. Plate / VIN etching

Vehicle theft around this region has been on the rise since the past 10 years.

According to PIAM data, vehicle theft for had risen from 8869 unit in year 1997 to 44105 in year 2007.

Although there are many option on security devices to prevent them from stolen, No plate / VIN etching is one of the easy and cheap option.

Many security experts believe that this is a foolproof anti-theft mechanism. Since the Number plate or VIN is marked on the windows, the criminals have to replace the windows before they can sell the car.

While removing and replacing car windows is relatively simple, it certainly is not cost effective and easy for the criminals to do so. Once the Number plate/ VIN are etched onto each window of the car, it acts like a fingerprint.

It would be much easier for police or law enforcement team to detect the stolen car.

Glass Cleaning

Any vehicle that has been on the road for sometimes, it will be exposed to age effect or windscreen aging. The glass will attract dirt, rain mark, scratches and other types of surface damage.

According to a study conducted by Monash University in year 1997 on windscreen and safety, there was a reduced visual range through the windscreen at night when facing headlight glare.

At Fix-A-Glass, we have a few techniques of glass cleaning and windscreen water repellent solution. Those with deep scratch of between 0.002 and 0.005 inch deep, shall be apply a multi step polish. This polishing material is extremely small in particle and they can be up to 1 micron in size.
